How much is shipping and what’s the shipping time?
Free Priority Shipping. Usually delivered in 3 business days.
Shipping is FREE and PRIORITY to most countries and takes 3 business days. We use UPS and Fedex for the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, and rest of the world, and DPD and GLS for Europe. For a few countries where we don't offer free delivery, the shipping is relatively affordable and fast. Please note that the shipping might sometimes take 3-5, or up to 8 business days in peak season due to the carrier's delay. We always try to deliver your package as fast as possible. Just go to the checkout, fill out your shipping address and you’ll see the shipping information.
Do ski resorts allow Snowfeet* on their slopes?
Yes - the vast majority of ski resorts allow Snowfeet just like regular skis.
Most of the ski resorts allow Snowfeet* and similar “short skis” on their slopes, but there could be exceptions. Our experience is that if you act as if you were skiing with your regular skis, no one will bother you. And if that happens anyway, argue that Snowfeet* base is made of the exact same metal ski edges as all the other skis, which is the most common requirement of ski resorts. And don’t forget the great thing about Snowfeet* is that you can always use them in so many other places, like hiking trails and sledding hills.
Is it hard to learn?
No - Snowfeet are easy to learn, often even easier than skiing or skating.
Not really, it is actually pretty easy. It is as hard as learning to ski or skate. In fact, many people find it easier. However it takes some time and you will definitely fall now and then, but that’s part of the fun. Have you ever seen people ice-skating for the first time? That’s what I’m talking about. You have to keep the front-back balance, so it feels very natural to those who play ice hockey, ice skate, or even use inline skates. You are able to move freely as opposed to wearing heavy clunky skis. Falling is generally much safer than falling with skis or snowboard. Most importantly don't forget that learning is effortless if you enjoy the ride.
Here's a tutorial n.1 and tutorial n.2.
How do you stop?
Video Answer n.1
Vide Answer n.2
You stop just like on skis or skates - with a hockey stop or heel brake.
You can stop the same way that you stop with your skis or skates. This is also called a hockey stop. Because of their size and weight, it might not be as easy to stop with Snowfeet as it is with regular skis. However, it's not really difficult either. Make sure you distribute your weight evenly over both of your Snowfeet to make you stop easier and slower. Additionally, you can also slow down using a heel brake.
Should I use wax?
We recommend waxing the fiberglass reinforced polyamide models for extra speed and smooth glide.
Wood core Snowfeet are pre-waxed like skis; fiberglass reinforced polyamide models work great, but we recommend waxing for extra speed and smooth glide.
Skiblades vs. Snowfeet & Skiskates - Which one should I choose?
Go for Skiblades if you want short skis - choose Snowfeet or Skiskates if you want skating on snow.
Skiblades / snowblades are basically short skis. They are easier to balance than snowfeet and better for carving, landing in snowparks and skiing in powder. Compared to snowfeet and skiskates, skiboards are more similar to regular skis.
If you wanna try something new, but similar to regular skiing, skiboards are the right choice.
Snowfeet and Skiskates are skates for snow, a completely new winter sport called skiskating, which resembles skating on snow. They allow for new kinds of jumps, twists and tricks. Snowfeet are also more versatile, you can use them with your winter shoes or snowboard boots, on cross-country and hiking trails or on your local sledding hill and your backyard. In addition, they are also more affordable than skiboards.
If you wanna try something completely new and have fun above all, these would be the best choice for you.
What Type of Bindings Should I Choose?
Choose ski bindings (ski boots) for classic control, simple non-release bindings (ski boots) for easy setup, or snowboard bindings (snowboard boots) for comfort and flexibility.
There are 3 main types of bindings:
1. Regular ski boot bindings
These are the standard release bindings. They’re pretty safe and easy to use, but they’re also the most expensive option and don’t fit shorter skiboards, so you can only get these with our 99 cm and 120 cm long skiboards.
2. Simple non-release ski boot bindings
This simpler version was invented because some skiboards are too short for regular ski boot bindings. Non-release bindings are also cheaper, pretty easy to adjust, tool-free, lightweight, and usually include safety leashes for secure attachment. Non-releasable bindings won’t release easily when you fall, which is why they are not made with skiboards of over 100 cm in length.
From my experience, if you prefer ski boots and don’t plan on winning the the Super G slalom,
these simple bindings are good enough for you.
3. Snowboard bindings
If you own a pair of snowboard boots or you just hate the uncomfortable plastic ski boots, which most skiers do, these bindings are right for you.
Snowboard bindings give you more flexibility while performing all kids of tricks, they’re super comfortable and you can walk with them anywhere without a problem, which makes the ski trip much more pleaseant experience.
Btw. other brands amateurly mount the big, clunky and overpriced snowboard bindings on the skiboard. At snowfeet we developed a unique snowboard bindings specifically designed for skiboards. They are affordable, easily adjustable to snowboard boots of any size, with an anti-slippery surface for perfect shoe grip. You won’t find such snowboard bindings anywhere else.
In my opinion, the snowboard bindings is the best type for skiboards. I love how easy it is to put snowboard boots on and walk with them, they don’t hurt like ski boots, and I feel more flexible during the ride.
However if you’re used to wearing your ski boots and love the fast aggressive ride, go for the ski bindings.
What I should know about shoe size?
Snowfeet*:
Snowfeet*
Skiskates / Skiboards:
4.5-14.5 US / 36-49 EU / 22,5-32,5 MP
6-14.5 US / 38-49 EU
